[Note by Maria Voelker-Kamarinea]
The lyrics of the song “Now the sun shines again” were written by the composer first in German (“Es strahlt die Sonne wieder”) and later in Greek (Να, λάμπει ο ήλιος πάλι).
The original setting of “Bayadera” (1902) appears as the third of Three Songs for Voice and Piano.
The Greek lyrics of the song “They Loved Each Other” are the composer’s translation of the original German text by Heinrich Heine [Sie liebten sich beide].
